Finding your 'passion'
Isn't it great when you find the thing you truly love?
I love my job. It's the greatest. People are usually eager to see me, they tell me nice things, and always have a compliment for me when they leave. I said to a client today "You know, I once thought about becoming a lawyer. I can be quite a hellion when it comes to expressing my own beliefs and opinions."
She shook her head, looked at me and said "No way, honey. You've FOUND your calling."
What a cool, freaking compliment.
People often ask me how long I've been a massage therapist, do I like it, etc., etc. Here's the scoop: I have a bachelor's degree in public relations. I worked as a non-profit org and corporate lackey for 8 years. Got fed up, decided to go back to school and into this line of work. And you know what? I've never been happier.
So, how do you do it? Find your passion (pardon the Oprah-ism, please). What subject can you talk for hours about? What subject makes you eager to jump in the conversation and spill your guts? Look at that, then look at ways to make money doing it. It's possible. It really is. Just ask Zo & me........
Have I mentioned that I love my job?
